EXPERTISE:

With a sharp focus on socio-ecological systems, we develop innovative concepts and engineered materials for the buildings, public art, and infrastructure sectors. We strive to make ideas tangible through a combination of advanced digital fabrication, biotech, data visualization, and hands-on craft.

Environmental

Master Planning

Environmentally-focused research and planning integrated informed procedures to maximize ecological stability, such as Circular-Economy benchmarking. Environmental Management and Planning uses modeling to minimize waste, comply with environmental law, and encourage biodiversity within the urban environment.

Biophilic Design

The integration of flora and fauna into the built environment. We study the positive affects of introducing nature inside our buildings and how we can improve the overall biome that we reside within. Typical outputs follow a range of public art pieces, statement interior design and research reporting.

Engineered Living Materials

Research of living materials and innovative construction techniques. Natural living elements are incorporated in our designs by harnessing their existing characteristics and augmenting them for advanced functionality.
Precedents include proteins, textiles, construction materials, and alternative plastics.

Urban Resilience

A variety of foresight research in the built environment that studies how sites may be affected over time due to climate change and other global events. Reporting of flooding probabilities, connectivity in emergency situations and solution development of future-proofing construction methods.

Urban Analytics + Smart Systems

The study, evaluation and development of smart cities to enhance urban life through planning and innovation. Our process heavily considers sustainability and ecology in order to create symbiotic relationships between the natural and urban worlds.

Mobility

New modalities and systems for transportation efficiency. Work in mobility includes alterations to both methods of transportation and adaptations of existing methods for advancing cities. Mobility technology considers energy sources, utilization, and impact.

 PUBLIC ART + INSTALLATIONS:

We are deeply engaged in creating public art projects that not only captivate and inspire but also provoke thoughtful discussions on critical issues such as climate change, the dramatic decline in global biodiversity, and escalating social challenges. Our work serves as a powerful medium to communicate complex environmental and societal messages in an accessible and compelling way, striving to foster a deeper understanding and drive collective action. Here are some recent projects that highlight our commitment to these causes:
