Internship Appointments
Terreform ONE is offering internships to support research of innovative practices and appropriate technologies for local sustainability in such matters as energy, transportation, buildings, waste treatment, food, water and culture. Potential areas of research may include: design methodologies, representation and fabrication, mobility technology, and other topics. We will provide space and support within the studio’s New York headquarters. Interns are expected to establish residency in the office for terms of three to twelve months.
Eligible interns may come from any country and can have a degree or experience in any field. Interns are not employees and have autonomy to pursue their work. At the same time, Terreform ONE hopes to foster lively interaction between interns and staff at all levels, encouraging them to test ideas against projects in progress and to share their work in informal interactions as well as formal presentations. Interns will present their work at least once to the public and invited guests and will document their findings for publication at the conclusion of the internship.
Proposals must be in English and will be judged based on their merits, including: the potential of the research to advance the discipline of socio-ecological science; the applicant’s qualifications to conduct the research; and the likelihood that the research can be completed within the requested time and resources.
All decisions on internships are final and are subject to the discretion of Terreform ONE. |
