Shirley Ting, AIA


Shirley Ting has a Master of Science in Industrial Design with a concentration in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University.  Shirley has also participated in the study abroad program of Rhode Island School of Design in Rome, Italy.  She is a licensed California architect with her own office, Heko Design, in downtown Los Angeles. She is currently working on several projects, ranging from a meditation center for female monks in Chiayi, Taiwan, as well as a series of high end fashion retail interiors here in the United States as well as in Asia.  Prior to opening her own office, Shirley's work experiences includes:
G Tects (New York, NY) - Issey Miyake Tribeca Boutique and the Lincoln Center Master Plan, in collaboration with Frank O. Gehry and Associates.  Michael Sorkin Studio (New York, NY) - Incinerator of Sendai, Japan and University of Chicago Master Plan.  Jerde Partnership (Venice, CA) - Solana Beijing Retail Development and Four Seasons Hotel Dubai Development.
Shirley has also worked in Taipei, Taiwan, where she designed and managed urban, retail, and residential projects for TMA Architects and Associates and Mark Lintott Design.
