Sishir Varghese

Sishir is enrolled in the Master of Architecture program at Columbia GSAPP graduating in 2011.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The City College of New York in 2008.  At Columbia he helped design a parametric curtain wall system which was published in A+U magazine.  His research has also included a collapsing Botanical Garden in Hernan Diaz Alonso's studio.  He has worked at the offices of JDS Architects in Copenhagen, Denmark working on a modular shelf system for Scandinavian designer Muuto and a facade system for housing units in Berlin, Germany.  Sishir also participated in an intensive 3 week workshop in Amman, Jordan where he explored emergent issues concerning contemporary public space in the Middle East.
