In studying architectural design, Anna finds herself fascinated with the idea of good design
having a deeper, more psychological objective by challenging previous notions of matter and
space. In recognizing the human-centered nature of good architecture, Anna is interested in
the pursuit to reveal what systematic design can do to make visible the multi-layered and
complex relationships humanity shares with the environment. This new paradigm shift in
architecture, she believes, will yield the "shock factor" people need- even if they don't know it
yet. Entering her fifth and final year at Syracuse University, Anna says her research at
Terreform ONE will heavily influence the development of her thesis project.
